Billy E. TraylorGulf County Commissioner, District 2
Billy E. Traylor was appointed County Commissioner for District 2 in November 1989 and is currently serving his third term in office.
Commissioner Traylor was born in Marianna, Florida and resided in Port St. Joe until the age of 10, where his family relocated to Wewahitchka. Mr. Traylor, a private business owner, served in the United States Armed Forces and also worked in the wood business for over 10 years. He also served as the Mayor of Wewahitchka from 1984 to 1987.
Commissioner Traylor is divorced and has two children, Champ and Jana. His is an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Wewahitchka and has served as past President of the Wewa Little League. Commissioner Traylor has served various civic organizations for the past 25 years and has been and is currently involved with numerous programs involving the county's youth. His hobbies include: fitness, golf, running and spending time with his family and friends.
