Bill Williams

Gulf County Commissioner, District 3

Bill Williams is a native of Gulf County and was raised in Overstreet. He is a 1983 graduate of Port St. Joe High School. Bill is married to Geri Williams, his wife and business partner, for over 14 years. Together, they have three children, Kaelyn 13, Madison 8, and Will 21 months. They make their home in Beacon Hill.

Bill holds an Associate Degree (general business) from the Univesity of Alaska, a Bachelor of Science Degree (Business/Psychology) and Masters of Science Degree in Management from Troy State University. He has over 15 years of senior management and ownership in the healthcare field. Mr. Williams has demonstrated his vision of entrepreneurship and has achieved sound fiscal results throughout his career. Since his return to Gulf County in 1997, Bill and Geri have dedicated their business and civic committments to the development of enhanced healthcare, senior care retirement and assisted living services. He and his partner employ over 100 people in 8 locations throughout the panhandle. As a result of his business success, Bill and Geri were the recipients of Opportunity Florida's "Committment Award" for job creations in rural communities, presented by the Governor's Office and Opportunity Florida.

Bill Williams has served as Gulf County Economic Development Council Chairman and currently serves on the Executive Committee. He is an active member of the Lion's Club and Gulf County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Williams was appointed by the Gulf County Commissioners to serve as Chairman of the Gulf County Health Committee and serves as a board member with the Gulf County Health Department, as well as the Federally Qualified Health Center, which serves community based healthcare needs. He was successful in recruitment of Bay Medical Center to the area and is currently working with a development team in the recruitment of Sacred Heart Hospital. United States Congressman Allen Boyd (D) recently requested for Bill to participate on a committee for the development of economic and healthcare initiatives throughout the 2nd Congressional area. Additionally, Williams is working with State Representative Bev Kilmer (R) for the enhancement of State incentives to serve the job creation and economic/academic strategies throughout House District Seven.
