Narative: Mr. Nathan Peters, Jr. became a member of the Washington Improvement Group Board Member in November, 1998. He arranged to have Prison Work Crews assist with the renovation project, often times keeping them on the renovation project overtime. Mr. Peters began his tenure as a WIG Board member as Chairman of the Fund Raising and Development Committee. His dedication and attention to financial details has resulted in the Fund Raising and Development Committee making investment decisions that have resulted in profitable returns on WIG's investments for the Community Capital Challenge Fund the organizations permanent endowment account. He initiated the WIG Sponsorship program which consists of raising money in the community to assist with WIG programming. His goal was to have one-hundred men donate one-hundred dollars each.
