Commissioner Barnes represents District V. He was elected in November of 2000.
Commissioner Barnes resides in Port St. Joe with his wife, the former Elaine Wood. A resident of Port St. Joe for over 45 years, Mr. Barnes graduated from Port St. Joe High School and has been employed at Arizona Chemical, Port St. Joe, for 37 years. He has also served as a City Commissioner.
Commissioner Barnes is an active member of First Baptist Church, Port St. Joe, where he serves as a Deacon. Mr. Barnes and wife, Elaine, have two children; Keith and wife Lyn, and Karen and husband Phil McCroan. They have seven grandchildren: Crystal, Shannon, Blake, Brett, Haley, Jesse and Justin.
